The second night-time food zone in Hanoi is scheduled to be opened in Ba Dinh District in the fourth quarter of this year. This newly opened food zone is among programs to boost tourism recovery and the night-time economy.

To be more specific, the new food zone in Ba Dinh Street mainly starts from Ngu Xa Street, a famous street for casual eateries and restaurants with “pho” roll specialty, and spreads to nearby streets in Truc Bach Ward. These streets will be closed off from 7 pm until midnight every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night-time activities, especially food.

The food zone is projected to fully open and ban vehicles from 7 pm to 5 am every day in the short run.

Truc Bach Lake Area has been long known as a lively nightlife place for Hanoians with countless cafes and casual dining spots tucked into charming colonial-style buildings and houses down small alleys. Most youngsters flock there for “pho” rolls and different kinds of noodles.

Previously, opened in 2002, the first food zone in Hanoi is located at Tong Duy Tan – Cam Chi Area, Hoan Kiem District.
