According to Holidu – a Germany-based vacation company, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Hoi An are three Vietnam cities enlisted in “The best cities for a workation”, or the ideal places for business and travel leisure vacation.

Depending on various factors such as monthly expenses for accommodation, drinks after working time, taxi fares, co-working spaces, wifi speed, attractions, and many others, Holidu has voted 150 best cities in their Workcation Index for 2021. Among them, Hanoi was ranked 18, HCMC was at 21st and Hoi An was at 32nd.
The website shows that it costs travelers $336.79 and $550.51 to rent a one-bedroom apartment monthly in Hanoi and HCMC respectively. Not as expensive as these two economic hubs, the relaxation heaven of Hoi An town just costs travelers $218.95 for the same expense.
Meanwhile, a meal at a common restaurant in Hanoi, HCMC, and Hoi An costs travelers $1.7, $2.1, and $1.82 respectively.
Although wifi speed is not an advantage in Vietnam yet Holidu highlights the low eating and drinking cost in these 3 cities.
The top three best cities in the list of 2021 are Bangkok (Thailand), New Delhi (India), and Lisbon (Portugal).
Formed by “Work” and “Vacation”, “Workation” is a good chance for everyone to combine business and leisure, maintain working progress while visiting families members or discovering new lands. The trend is supposed to attract lots of travelers worldwide, especially in the post-pandemic when remote working is more popular.
