To welcome the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet holiday), 12 animal sculptures planted with ornamental shrubs and flowers are being put on display at Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park in Hanoi.

Workers are busy creating the animal sculptures out of plants and flowers at Thong Nhat Park, which welcome many people to visit.

Pictured is the impressively large and verdant tiger.

Workers are finishing the frames of the sculptures before embedding them with plants to represent the 12 animals of the zodiac.

The pig is receiving its final few plants, which flourish in the rich soil within its body; then watered regularly to keep it in top condition. The frame of each animal is built out of steel before being covered with plants and flowers. And each topiary animal is 2-3m tall.
